Booking and Payment
A non-refundable retainer fee is required to secure your session date. This payment reserves your time and ensures no other bookings will be made for your chosen date. The remaining balance is due before or on the day of the session. Payments can be made via credit card or bank transfer. Returned checks will incur a $50 fee.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule your session, notice must be given at least 7 days prior to your scheduled date. Rescheduled sessions must occur within 3 calendar months, and your retainer fee will be applied to the new date. In the event of weather conditions deemed unsuitable by the photographer, the session will be rescheduled, or an alternative location will be agreed upon. Cancellations made within 7 days of the session date will result in the forfeiture of the retainer fee.
Session Details
Sessions will begin promptly at the agreed-upon time. Late arrivals may result in a reduced session duration without a partial refund. Clients are responsible for any location fees (e.g., permits, parking) associated with the chosen session venue. Styling advice is provided, but final wardrobe and makeup choices are the client's responsibility.
Image Delivery and Products
Clients will receive their private online gallery of edited images within 4 weeks from the session date. High-resolution digital files are included. Prints, albums, and wall art can be purchased through the gallery. Please allow additional time for delivery of physical products. Vicky Akin Photography is not responsible for delays caused by third-party labs or shipping providers.
Artistic Rights
Vicky Akin Photography retains full creative control over the session, including editing and selection of images. Raw or unedited files will not be provided under any circumstances. Clients are permitted to print and share images for personal use only. Commercial use is prohibited unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.
Liability
Vicky Akin Photography is not responsible for any injuries, property damage, or unforeseen circumstances during the session. In the unlikely event of a photographer emergency or equipment malfunction, liability is limited to the amount paid for the session.
Cooperation
Clients agree to assist and cooperate during the session to ensure desired results. Lack of cooperation may affect the outcome, and the photographer cannot guarantee specific images.
Copyright
All images remain the copyright of Vicky Akin Photography. The photographer reserves the right to use images for promotional purposes, including on social media, the website, and marketing materials unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.
